I am planning on getting married in a historic theatre in November 2009, and I want my wedding to be very formal and elegant. I love the wedding colors champagne (gold) and pale pink! However, I’m worried these colors will either clash or get washed away by the bright decor of the theatre. What do you guys think? should I stick with my colors or use change them?
Here is my chosen wedding colors:

OMG !!!!!
Your wedding is going to be so beautiful ! I am so happy for you. The colors you chose will be just fine. Well done…..
I really don’t think it’ll be a problem – double check with them. If the lighting is wrong, it’s a theater -hopefully they can adjust it.
What an amazing facility.
Stick with your colours.
They are beautiful, classical and feminine. Anything darker/different would clash with the venue.
The venue… wow! It is powerful! Majestic.
Great for a formal wedding.
Goodluck with your planning and Congratulations!
P.S.
Champagne is a fun colour that changes with the lighting. It can be almost white ivory, pale pink or nearly apricot. But so beautiful.
My wedding gown was champagne ivory. Loved it.
Gold will be perfect with it. However, pale pink is a receding color. It might wash away. An option is to mix pale pinks with bright pinks. It will make the pale pink pop!
P.S. Gold will look best as the main color. Use pink as the accents.
WOW! That theatre is so gorgeous I literally gasped when I saw it! I’m impressed!
Those colors will look beautiful in that setting! If you go too dark, it won’t stand out against the colors there and it will be dreary looking. The colors you have chosen are perfect! I would say gold as the main color with varying shades of pink to accent. Don’t go too light on the pink, but not hot pink either.
Here are some more pics for inspiration:
You could also consider incorporating creme/ivory in with the gold and pink as the three in combination can be stunning!
Congratulations and good luck!!
