I found this dress and it’s perfect…my only concern is that I dont know if it really says “hello, Im the bride” enough. I know it doesnt have to, but Im not sure that its “wedding-y enough…if you know what I mean. Kind of like a perfect gorgeous evening gown isnt necessarily a perfect wedding gown. Again, as the bride I know I can do what I want and wear what I want…but I just wanted your opinions. Would you think this dress is inappropriate for an outdoor wedding?
Side note: Im getting married outside in June 08. The gown I would buy is a sample (so it’s $1450 instead of $3000)…and I have it on hold for the time being…but thats only for a few more weeks, if that.

Since it’s your wedding, and a wedding is considered the bride’s day, what matters most is whether or not YOU like it. If i were the groom , and i saw you in that dress i would be tmpted to skip the reception and take you to the nearest waterfall to begin the honeymoon, unless, of course, we would fit inthe champagne fountain ( wai a minute, i don’t drink )
This is a very elegant dress and you should not be worried about not looking wedding-y enough at all. Look at all that beautiful detail in the bodice! What a great dress!
Yes- I think its beautiful. You’ll definitely look like the bride- especially when you wear your veil and have your hair, makeup, etc done.
i think is really beautiful. and yeh it is ideal for an outdoor wedding so i’l say go with it. and good luck
It’s beautiful and perfectly wedding-y! Add a veil, that’s what makes the bride stand out the most! Congrats!
I love that dress. You are the bride so wear what makes you happy. I went simple and had an outdoor ceremony and everyone loved the dress. Most importantly, I loved it and I was comfortable.
Remember, that the dress won’t be the only tip off that you’re the bride. The bouquet and veil help a lot too. A really long train would look nice with this dress…and I mean LONG. Sure it’s wedding-y enough, especially for outdoors. For an outside June wedding, you don’t want a big dress anyway.
I love it and think its absolutely perfect for a bride. Congrats!!!
I think its a beautiful weddingy dress. And it will look even more weddingy with your hairpiece and your veil. congratulations on your wedding.
It all depends on what you want. If you feel georgeous and elgenant. Then get it. Now dresses are so slike and small, it’s still really fancy.
If you fell like it is underdressed, then maybe go with something else and change into this dress later. To me an outdoor wedding is simpler. I think it would be amazing!
And the price is good too!
You know when you tried it on if you loved it or you didn’t…
I think the bodest makes it look very dressy!
Gorgeous!
I happen to think this gown is perfect for an outside wedding. Simple & elegant.
I think that dress is gorgeous. If you put it on and feel like a bride, it is the one. For my first wedding, my dress didn’t make me feel like that and I regret my choice. If you love it, get it! It is your day, well yours and your future husbands, and what makes you feel gorgeous and fabulous, that is what you should get!
It’s beautiful!!!! And would ONLY work for a bride…….It would be too much for anything else. You will look beautiful on your wedding day!!!!
I think its absolutly beautiful and plenty wedding-y enough! I totally envy you to have a body that would look good in that, I could never pull it off! If you love it then go for it b/c its stunning!
I think that’s a gorgeous dress – the best way to say “hello, I’m the bride!” is to pair it with beautiful hair, make-up and accessories.
I think it’s gorgeous!! And you’re so lucky to have found it for the price you did! Considering you’re having an outdoor wedding, I don’t think you’ll be happy with anything really froo froo and bulky…and it fits the season! If it’s what you want for YOUR wedding…then it’s “wedding-y” enough! An added note** this is a very reputable designer!!
That dress is absolutely gorgeous! It is absolutely wedding-y enough, and you will stand out as an elegant bride. It does have a train, which you might want to think about for an outdoor wedding depending how you’re doing it. Not great to have a train dragging through grass, etc. Good luck!
It’s lovely and perfect for outdoors. Go for it!
In all honesty, I think it’s gorgeous. I’m not just blowing smoke. My cousin wore one somewhat similar to her wedding in a vineyard and it was stunning. If you like it, go for it!
That is a beautiful dress. I got married 3 weeks ago and I want to tell you the dress is important…how you feel in it will inluence your whole day. I felt like a princess in mine and i am not a princess kind of gal…but I will always remember my special day and how I felt in that dress. Also be mindful of how comfortable you are…there are a lot of things that can try to stress you out that day, so feeling like you need to be constantly tugging at your dress is not something you want to deal with. Have a wonderful wedding and do things the way you and the groom desire…afterall, it’s your day…no none else’s! ;-0
I think that the dress is great for an outdoor wedding. The top has alot of details but not too much. It’s very simple and elegant and it also isn’t weighted down so you won’t be as hot than if you got something that “screamed bride”. Good Luck!
It is perfect, it definately says ” look at me”, and I love it. Very Chic!
Consider too that you’ll be adding a veil and a bouquet to the picture….. I’m sure you’ll definately look like a bride.
If not, we’re both in trouble.. cause it’s VERY similar to the dress that I’ll be wearing in August.
If it’s perfect for you, then of course it is fine. It is more like just an evening dress, but if you add a veil or hairpiece the look will change.
