It’s All in the Details, II

June 23rd, 2009

I am so sorry I left you guys hanging today! Viola of chewing the cud has graciously been sharing some ridiculously lovely details with us, while I’ve been “working” (and I use that term lightly because…come on!) at Engage ‘09 in the Cayman Islands. We’ll have a full wrap-up session when I get back but in the meantime, here’s Viola!

Here are some of latest and greatest details…Cuddle with Cider favors that you can buy right here on etsy., Vignette styling with Reusable Fabric Gift Wrap, hand painted sign which was featured at the guest sign-in area and was styled
in collaboration with the hugely talented Eden Rodriguez of End-Design.

You know, even the most mundane objects can be transformed into beautiful details. Think about using what you already have in your home. Imagine using these everyday objects in different ways….

And, who would have thought mini jars packaged with plain ole parchment paper and rubber bands could look so adorable? Next-up, we hand-stain envelopes with coffee to create a vintage feel, styled in collaboration with Eden Rodriguez of End-Design….

We have so much to come from Viola in just a bit. In the meantime, I thought I’d give you a few fun highlights from my ridiculous trip and some of the fancy shmancy people I’ve met along the way…

1. Preston Bailey is as handsome as you ever imagined. Add to that completely charming, talented beyond belief and seemingly super sweet…the total package.

2. Michelle Rago and Randy Fenoli are two of THE most talented people I’ve chatted with in a long, long time. We spoke on a panel called Innovating with Style and each session revealed something new and fabulous about what they are doing…from Michelle’s totally approachable, intimate style to a few behind the scenes stories that Randy told about his experience on Say Yes to the Dress! Love. them. to pieces.

3. Darcy Miller of Martha Stewart is all together lovely. We are going to do a full feature when I get back but bottom line…Darcy is one of the most dedicated and talented people I’ve ever met. Who literally got to where she is by putting in good, honest hard work.

Back in a bit!
