(Goth is a period in history, not a heritage.)
Yeah, it is a little hard to find the proper dress, especially for the guy. I would recommend someone sew it for you. Go to any Wal Mart and ask for the Simplicity pattern catalog (and other catalogs too) and they have a section of costumes. Then ask for the pattern for the costume you like and get a tailor to sew it for you.
As for the wedding itself, visit the following websites can help:
You will probablly need a custom gown. Get away from traditional bridial.
Google under renaissaince wedding dresses or custom corsets, those links and sites will give you good places to start. I was married in burgundy and gold, my best friend in blue. You will look SMOKING!
Google: Rossetti wedding dresses-amazing dresses that you can’t afford, but can drool over..
Try renstore.com. They have tons of information specific to what you’re looking for.
Most Celtic dresses are not form fitting so you might be disappointed if you decide to go that route.
You will be able to find evening dresses in black so you might want to search for evening dresses that will suit your needs…
If you want a traditional wedding gown in black then you may need to have it custom made.
otherwise look at bridesmaid dresses and evening gowns.
check out Offbeat Bride for ideas and links

happy hunting.
It sounds like you’re going with the Morticia Addams look. Try E-bay. They have several goth dresses there. You may also want to watch the Addams family videos for inspiration.
You may have to have your gown made for you. Look for patterns and fabrics then hire a seamstress.
Would your groom mind getting married in a kilt? How about the groomsmen?
Since your engagement ring is black diamonds and platinum, how about using those colors as your wedding colors: black and silver. You may want to add in another, brighter color for spring (perhaps spring green) and to celebrate your Celtic heritage.
Celtic wedding music is lovely. You may want a harpist instead of the traditional strings trio or organist.
When thinking of the reception music, why not try contra dancing? Contra dancing is a traditional folk dance; you can see examples in many Jane Austen and renaissance movies. It’s similar to square dancing because the leader lets everyone know what they’re supposed to do but it’s also livelier dancing than the traditional waltzes.
When you’re not doing a cookie cutter wedding, it is more difficult to plan, but it’s also more fun. Let your creativity run free! When you see movies or pictures which inspire you, remember them. Create a notebook of ideas.
try
and OMG I love this one
A couple places I would check out for ideas: (Celtic themes) then click on the Tribe link on the right (catchall of themes, etc)
The ladies at both places are very helpful and openminded to whatever you are needing help with.
There is a site called and a sister site they have some fabulous dresses in red, black and ivory look under the gothic section. On the first site there was a gorgeous black dress item no B961 long sleeves etc available in lots of colours and brides maids dresses to match check it out and good luck!!
