You can ask if the couple has done a wedding registry. If they have, you can check out the list and pick something that is in your price range. If not, you can always get a gift certificate to a popular store in your area. Good luck!

If you don’t want to work with the couple’s wedding registry, then a good alternative is to go to a chain store such as THINGS REMEMBERED in your local mall; and have the representatives there help you select an item such as champagne flutes or something in sterling silver or such (that you can ideally have them engrave with the names of the bride- and groom-to-be and the wedding date).

i usually get a gift off of the couples registry or give cash, somewhere between $50-$100 depending on how close they are

get them a gift card to whatever store they’re registered at, at least $50. if you’re bringing a date, more like $100.

depending on how formal the event is… if you don’t want to buy a gift of their registry, the best gift is cash. 100-150$

a check in a card is easiest. Even if it’s just for like $25, the thought is appreciated. Unless you are a kid, in which case a card is more than fine.

Cash. Where I live, it’s pretty customary to bring a cash gift to the wedding and a registry gift to a shower.

Look at the couple’s registry and see if there is something you can afford.

Find out where they are registered and get something from their list. You aren’t supposed to take the gift to the wedding but have it delivered to either the bride’s house or her parent’s house – before the wedding.

Check out their registry and choose a cheap gift from it. And make sure it is shipped to them, don’t actually bring it to the wedding.
